Shocking!!! It is Legal To Walk Around Naked In Spain Since 1978

There are no laws against being nude » in Spain - which means that, you can go nude anywhere in the country.

Spain has a reputation for nude beaches with tourists from around the world scurrying off to Spain’s beaches, eager to enter the one place where they can cast off those constricting clothes without any repercussions.

Most people don’t realize, though, that you don’t actually have to go to a nude beach. In Spain, you can legally be naked in any public place you want. Since 1978, the constitution of Spain has not only guaranteed its people permission to walk around naked—it’s made it an inalienable human right.

However, the local government in Cadiz, Andalusia, has raised the possibility of fining people caught naked on their beaches, a move which has raised a number of legal questions.

Aside from this new legal challenge to nudism in Spain, the acceptability of going unclothed in certain situations may also make you reconsider whether you get naked in Spain. You can't just strip off on any family beach they say the wrath of an irate Spanish mother is worse than any trouble you could get into from a policeman!

There have been attempts to change the law in the past, but none have actually gone through.

So all ye nudist, Spain is calling!
